Assisted Living – COVID-19 Update – 7/1/20

Dear Residents and Family Members,

We are thankful for your continued support in this fight against the coronavirus. I wanted to take the time to provide you with updates. Currently, we have no known resident or active staff cases of COVID-19. We continue to monitor residents and staff daily for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.

As of today, we are on schedule to begin outside visitations on July 6th. This visitation will need to be scheduled beforehand and limited to one visitor at a time during the session. As we begin this process, times and availability will be limited. We are using Sign Up Genius, an application that can be downloaded via your mobile device or accessed via this link: Culpepper Garden Visit Sign Up. If you are using the mobile application, you must enter Laura Orihuela’s email address to find the sign-up page for Culpepper Garden. Her email is: LOrihuela@culpeppergarden.org. Then follow the prompts as indicated. If you need assistance with this process, please contact Laura with your questions or concerns and she will be happy to assist you!

In accordance with the strict guidelines outlined by the CDC and the Arlington County Health Department, all parties will always need to be masked and maintain social distance protocols. Please avoid physical contact with your loved one during the visit. Visits will be scheduled for 30-minute increments so that all our residents will be able to enjoy visits from their friends and families at least once a week. Food or the exchange of gifts or items is prohibited to greatly reduce the potential spread of the virus. There will be a designated visitor area assigned during your visit time, which will be sanitized between visitors.

It is our plan to have your family member ready and downstairs at the start of your visit. Please be prepared to comply with our screening process prior to your visit. To remain prepared and organized, we cannot allow visits for friends or families that have not signed up. In cases of inclement weather, your visit will be cancelled and rescheduled based on all party’s availability.

Thank You again for your support during this unprecedented time. We appreciate all that you do to for your loved one to help them through this difficult time. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Searcy
Assisted Living Administrator
