BBQ & Blooms Summer Bash
Thank you to all of you who attended our BBQ and Blooms Summer Bash on Saturday, June 4th! We were delighted to have so many of our friends and supporters join us for a fun afternoon in support of an important cause. Thanks to our generous board members, sponsors, attendees, and volunteers, we raised over $111,000. The funds raised will go toward subsidies for residents in Culpepper Garden’s assisted living who can no longer afford their care.
Guests enjoyed a barbecue lunch, a performance by local quartet Just Four Grins, and participated in a community auction that included several pottery pieces by local ceramic artist Fred Paul. Culpepper Garden’s incoming Board Chair Peter Kant delivered opening remarks, thanking outgoing chair Susan Philp for her service to the community.
Virginia Delegate Patrick Hope presented our inaugural Legacy of Grace Award to two deserving honorees, The Fenwick Foundation and longtime supporter and Elizabeth Harter, in recognition of their contributions to Culpepper Garden’s mission to serve low-income older adults in Arlington.
Thank you again for making a difference in the lives of the limited income, older adults we serve. Enjoy some of the photos from the event.
