Assisted Living – COVID-19 Update – 12/14/20
Dear Residents and Family Members,
This letter is to provide an update on the status of COVID-19 at Culpepper Garden Assisted Living. Based on the testing that was completed this past Wednesday, we are happy to report that no new residents tested positive for COVID. Unfortunately, we did have two staff members test positive, both of whom are asymptomatic. Thankfully, the residents and staff who previously tested positive are recovering or asymptomatic. Please continue to pray for their recovery and for the protection of all of our residents.
We will continue our strategy of testing all staff and residents weekly. Our testing approach will be to test all residents who have previously tested negative on a weekly basis until we are 14 days clear of any new infection. We continue to closely monitor residents for any developing signs and symptoms. If a resident begins to experience any symptoms, we will notify the family and the resident’s primary care physician immediately.
We continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Virginia Department of Health, and Arlington County Health Department guidance; and we continue to work diligently to ensure effective infection prevention measures are maintained. We assure you that we continue to take every precaution and measure to protect the health and safety of our residents.
Should you need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to me by phone or email. Thank you,
Kimberly Searcy
