  Affordable Homes for Arlington’s Seniors

Housing costs have skyrocketed in Northern Virginia in the past few decades, and senior citizens — often on fixed incomes — have been hit hard.

Culpepper Garden offers an affordable option. We are a nonprofit retirement housing community located on five pleasant acres in the heart of Arlington. Our residents are low- and moderate-income seniors ages 62 and older.

We have two independent living facilities where 267 seniors enjoy safe and convenient apartment living. In addition, our supportive services center offers 24-hour support to another 73 residents who need help with the activities of daily living.

Culpepper Garden is within walking distance of shopping, churches and parks. There’s a free bus service and a courtesy phone for taxi service on site.

Creating a Community
Culpepper Garden offers as much companionship and activity as residents wish — or as much privacy and quiet time as they need.

There are plenty of options to keep residents involved. The building has lounges, a library, a gift shop, a salon, game rooms and laundry facilities.

We have an active Residents Association, and seniors can volunteer for day-to-day duties, such as working in the gift shop. Located on the ground floor, organizes outings, courses on health and nutrition, and much more.

The result: a unique and vibrant community. Culpepper Garden is a vital part of Arlington, and residents play a vital role in Culpepper Garden.
