Ways To Give
Charitable Giving to Culpepper Garden
Culpepper Garden provides the supportive programs and services our residents need to stabilize their lives and allow them to remain in their home at Culpepper Garden. These programs and services are part of our distinctive tradition of caring and giving that has made a critical difference in the lives of our residents for decades.
Culpepper Garden is Arlington's award-winning, nonprofit, affordable housing community for seniors. Culpepper Garden has provided independent living apartments, meals and social enrichment to seniors for over 50 years. Since the opening of our assisted living wing in 2000, we have been Arlington's only facility providing apartments and enhanced services for 73 frail, low-income individuals needing supportive care. Thanks to the generosity of Arlington County and our donors, no resident has ever had to leave assisted living because they could no longer afford their cost of care.
Our County's rapidly growing senior population makes your support of Culpepper Garden more important than ever, especially for the elderly, vulnerable residents living in our assisted living facility, where the average age is 87. The average monthly income of the assisted living residents is $1,900, but the average monthly cost of their rent, meals and assistance with activities of daily living is $2,400 to $3,800 depending on the amount of care needed.
Your gift to Culpepper Garden is extremely important because your donation goes directly to supporting the top-quality services we provide for our residents. Public funds cover a portion of some of our residents' rental and services expenses, but private donations are critical to meeting all of our residents needs. With your help, we can continue to meet our goal: no resident will have to leave our Culpepper Garden home because of lack of funds.
Culpepper Garden has received the Guildstar Platinum distinction for disclosure and transparency. Pease join us in our commitment to care for our residents by making your donation today. We are so very grateful for your financial contribution to Culpepper Garden.
